5月16日，由西交利物浦大学主办，西浦博物馆和数学与物理学院物理系联合承办的“跨越时空的涟漪·一个德国科学家的中国情缘”展览开展仪式暨“走进科学家论坛”在西浦博物馆顺利举行。本次展览不仅是对德国天体物理学家Rainer Spurzem教授与中国科学家们携手探索天体物理与宇宙奥秘的致敬，更生动诠释了西交利物浦大学推动科研创新、架设跨文化对话桥梁的使命，展现了国际合作在科学前沿与人文交流中的深远意义。

On May 16th, the launch ceremony for the exhibition "Ripples Across Time and Space: A German Scientist's Bond with China" and the accompanying Scientists Forum was successfully held at XJTLU Museum. Jointly organized by Xi'an Jiaotong-Liverpool University (XJTLU), with co-hosting responsibilities shared between XJTLU Museum and the Department of Physics under the School of Mathematics and Physics, this event not only pays tribute to the collaborative exploration of astrophysics and cosmic mysteries between German astrophysicist Professor Rainer Spurzem and Chinese scientists, but also vividly embodies XJTLU's mission to advance scientific innovation and foster cross-cultural dialogue. The exhibition poignantly demonstrates the profound significance of international cooperation in both cutting-edge scientific research and humanistic exchange.

开展前夕,西交利物浦大学执行校长席酉民教授会见了本次展览活动的特邀嘉宾——中国科学院院士、中国科学院大学资深讲席教授陈建生先生以及中国科学院国家天文台前副台长薛随建研究员。双方就高教发展、科研人才培养等议题进行了探讨交流。

Before the opening ceremony. The Executive President of XJTLU, Professor Youmin Xi extended a warm welcome and expressed gratitude to Academician Jiansheng Chen and Researcher Suijian Xue for their visit. Both sides engaged in discussions on topics such as deepening collaboration in science and education and promoting academic exchanges.

活动现场，中国科学院院士、中国科学院大学资深讲席教授陈建生先生，西交利物浦大学党委书记、副校长钞秋玲教授，中国科学院国家天文台前副台长薛随建研究员，西交利物浦大学助理副校长Adam Cross教授，中国科学院紫金山天文台首席科学家徐烨研究员，中国科学院国家天文台邓李才研究员以及本次展览的核心人物中国科学院国家天文台、德国海德堡大学Rainer Spurzem教授共同为本次展览剪彩。

Academician Jiansheng Chen (CAS Member, University of Chinese Academy of Sciences), Professor Qiuling Chao (Vice President for Student Affairs and Information, Secretary of Party Committee at XJTLU), Researcher Suijian Xue(Former Deputy Director of NAOC), Professor Adam R. Cross (Associate Vice President of XJTLU), Researcher Ye Xu (Chief Scientist at Purple Mountain Observatory), Researcher Licai Deng (NAOC), and Professor Rainer Spurze (German astrophysicist and National Distinguished Expert) jointly inaugurated the exhibition.

Prof. Adam R. Cross, Associate Vice President of XJTLU, delivered an opening speech highlighting XJTLU’s mission to advance international research collaboration and cross-cultural education.

随后，薛随建研究员以详实的叙述，回顾了Rainer Spurzem教授扎根中国数十载的科研故事，赞扬了其在天体物理学领域的卓越贡献。西浦数理学院物理系副教授庞晓莹老师则与师生们分享了Rainer Spurzem教授与西浦科研之缘。

Researcher Suijian Xue recounted Prof. Spurzem’s decades-long dedication to astrophysics in China, applauding his groundbreaking contributions to the field. Associate Prof. Xiaoying Pang from XJTLU’s Department of Physics shared heartfelt anecdotes about Prof. Spurzem’s enduring connection with XJTLU.

作为展览的叙事主角，Rainer Spurzem教授在压轴环节深情讲述了与中国结缘的动人故事。这段动人的故事不仅为展览注入了人文温度，更以科学家个体的叙事维度，生动诠释了中德科研合作如何从技术协作升华为文明互鉴。

The spotlight then turned to Prof. Rainer Spurzem himself, who recounted his profound bond with China. His personal narrative infused the event with warmth, illustrating how Sino-German scientific collaboration has evolved from technical partnership to a mutual appreciation of civilizations.

在人类探索真理的漫漫长路上，科学精神如同不灭的火炬，既需要思想的传递，更需要具象的载体来延续其温度与光芒。陈建生院士、薛随建研究员向西交利物浦大学博物馆捐赠了两件特别的藏品。西浦党委书记、副校长钞秋玲教授对两位科学家的捐赠致以诚挚谢意，并现场颁发了捐赠证书。

Academician Jiansheng Chen and Researcher Suijian Xue donated two remarkable artifacts to the XJTLU Museum, embodying the legacy of scientific pursuit and anchoring its wisdom in physical form for generations to come. Professor Qiuling Chao, Vice President for Student Affairs and Information, Secretary of the Party Committee at XJTLU, expressed profound gratitude for the scientists’ contributions and presented them with official donation certificates during the ceremony.

开展仪式结束后，科学家们与西浦师生展开热烈交流。Rainer Spurzem教授、徐烨研究员、邓李才研究员、崔辰洲研究员以及西浦物理系主任M.B.N. (Thijs) Kouwenhoven教授等齐聚一堂，围绕国际科研协作、天文探索等前沿议题展开深度对话。最后，全体嘉宾及师生一同参观了“跨越时空的涟漪·一个德国科学家的中国情缘”展览。

Following the opening ceremony, the scientists engaged in vibrant discussions with XJTLU faculty and students. Professor Rainer Spurzem, Researchers Ye Xu and Licai Deng, Researcher Chenzhou Cui, along with Professor M.B.N. (Thijs) Kouwenhoven, gathered for an in-depth dialogue on cutting-edge topics including international scientific collaboration and astronomical exploration. Then, all guests, faculty, and students toured the exhibition "Ripples Across Time and Space: A German Scientist's Bond with China" together.
